Jack Grealish’s Manchester City exit moves closer with Everton medical booked

Jack Grealish has agreed to join Everton from Manchester City on loan, with the England international due to undergo a medical on Tuesday morning.

The move was confirmed by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who said an agreement had been reached between Everton and Manchester City after Grealish gave his approval to the switch.

Romano wrote on X: “BREAKING: Jack Grealish will undergo medical as new Everton player on Tuesday morning, here we go!

“Deal agreed with Manchester City on loan with green light from Jack tonight.

“Everton been pushing for several days and now got Grealish back – follows @David_Ornstein.”

The agreement means Grealish is set to leave Manchester City during the current summer transfer window and join another Premier League club. Everton have been working for several days to complete the deal and have now secured the player’s agreement.

Romano also stated: “There has been an agreement with Manchester City for Grealish’s move on loan, after obtaining the player’s approval to move to Everton.”

He added: “Everton had been pushing for several days to complete the deal, and have now succeeded in bringing Grealish back into their ranks.”

The medical examination is the next formal step before the transfer can be completed. Grealish’s decision to approve the move followed negotiations between the two clubs and Everton’s sustained efforts to finalise the loan agreement.

Manchester City’s agreement to allow Grealish to leave on a temporary basis clears the way for him to continue his career at Everton. The deal is subject to the successful completion of Tuesday’s medical.

Grealish joined Manchester City after leaving Aston Villa and has since been part of the club’s squad, but the latest agreement will see him move away from the Etihad Stadium for the forthcoming period.
