Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomande denies deal with Paris Saint-Germain
Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomande has insisted he is unaware of growing transfer speculation linking him with Paris Saint-Germain, stressing that his full focus remains on the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Elephants.
The highly rated striker, who currently plays for RB Leipzig, has become one of the most sought-after attackers in the current transfer window, with the French champions reportedly agreeing a five-year deal with the forward.
However, speaking ahead of Ivory Coast’s Round of 32 clash against Norway, Diomande downplayed PSG transfer links, stressing he is only focused on the global showpiece in North America.
“You’re telling me. I don’t have the internet, I don’t have Instagram, I don’t have TikTok. It’s my agent who’s talking to the club; I don’t have any information,” Diomande said.
The forward explained that he has deliberately avoided distractions during the World Cup, preferring to remain fully focused on representing his country on football’s biggest stage.
“I don’t want to talk about it, not even with my agent, because this is a chance to play in a World Cup. It only comes around every four years, so I have to make the most of it,” he added.
Diomande also emphasized his ambition to make a lasting impact with Ivory Coast, insisting that his priority is national team success rather than club speculation.
“I want to make history with my country and give it my all,” he concluded.
The 2026 World Cup has provided Diomande with a global platform to showcase his talent, but the striker remains firmly grounded as Ivory Coast prepare for a crucial knockout encounter against Norway.
Despite the growing attention surrounding his club future, Diomande’s comments underline a strong commitment to his national team duties, with the Elephants aiming to progress deeper into the tournament.
Ivory Coast will face Norway in a high-stakes Round of 32 clash, with Diomande expected to play a key role as they continue their quest for World Cup success.
