Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Nortey has officially joined Cypriot first division club Enosis Neon Paralimniou FC, following his departure from Romanian side CFR Cluj.
Nortey, a central midfielder known for his ball-winning abilities, had a brief stint with CFR Cluj after being transferred to the club last summer.
Despite the promising move, Nortey struggled for game time, making only one appearance for the Transylvanian team. In the latter part of the 2023/2024 season, he was loaned to FC Argeș in Romania’s Liga 2.
The transfer to Enosis Neon Paralimniou marks a new chapter in Nortey’s career. According to Transfermarkt, the Ghanaian midfielder’s market value stands at €75,000 following the completion of the deal.
In an official statement, Enosis Neon Paralimniou announced, “The management of Enosis Neon Paralimniou FC is pleased to confirm the transfer of Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Nortey.
Our team welcomes him into the family and wishes him all the best in his football career.”
Nortey’s move to Cyprus is seen as an opportunity for him to revive his career and gain more regular playing time.
Enosis Neon Paralimniou, competing in the top tier of Cypriot football, will be looking to leverage Nortey’s defensive skills and experience to strengthen their midfield.
Reflecting on his journey, Nortey expressed his gratitude for the new opportunity, stating, “I am excited to join Enosis Neon Paralimniou and look forward to contributing to the team’s success.
I am grateful for the chance to prove myself and take my career to the next level.”
The Cypriot club is optimistic that Nortey’s arrival will bolster their squad as they aim for a successful season.
Fans of Enosis Neon Paralimniou will be eager to see the impact of their new signing on the pitch and hope that Nortey can bring stability and strength to the team’s midfield.
As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Nortey to see how he adapts to his new environment and how he performs in the Cypriot First Division.
His journey from Romania to Cyprus is a testament to his resilience and determination to succeed at the highest levels of football.
