Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has expressed admiration for teammate Ethan Nwaneri, highlighting the young forward’s exceptional talent and potential.
Timber’s comments come as Nwaneri, who is of Nigerian descent, continues to make massive strides in his burgeoning career with the Gunners.
Nwaneri, who made history in September 2022 by becoming the youngest player to feature in a Premier League match at 15 years and 181 days, has been a standout performer this season.
His remarkable journey began when he joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of eight, and he has since progressed through the ranks, showcasing his versatility across various attacking roles.
Timber, reflecting on Nwaneri’s rapid ascent, stated, “It’s great to see, great to be a part of (his career).
“I can’t wait to see what the future brings for him, and hopefully he can show some magic.”
Manager Mikel Arteta has also been vocal about his confidence in Nwaneri’s abilities. Following the youngster’s impressive display against Bolton, Arteta remarked, “The boy is ready,” emphasizing the club’s belief in his readiness for top-level football.
