Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has officially announced a new partnership with Huawei, the third-largest smartphone brand globally, signaling China’s increasing influence in French football. The telecommunications giant will inject approximately 1.3 million euros into PSG over the next three seasons, adding to the club’s growing portfolio of international sponsors. With this new deal, PSG’s budget is estimated to reach around 468 million euros, according to reports from L’Equipe.
However, questions remain about whether these financial arrangements will meet UEFA’s requirements under the new financial fair play rules, particularly regarding the transparency of the 200 million euros provided by Qatar Sports Investments (QTA). The partnership with Huawei underscores PSG’s efforts to strengthen its financial position and expand its global brand presence, but it also raises concerns about compliance with UEFA regulations.
