Achraf Hakimi set for PSG return ahead of Champions League final against Arsenal
Paris Saint-Germain are expecting positive news during Tuesday evening’s training session as preparations continue for next Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal.
The French champions will return to training at 5 p.m. local time after a two-day break, according to reports from French outlet RMC.
The session is expected to include the return of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi as well as French forward Ousmane Dembele, with both players likely to rejoin group training ahead of the highly anticipated final.
Dembele recently suffered a calf injury during the league finale against Paris FC, but the French attacker had already expressed confidence about recovering in time for the final.
Hakimi Undergoes Intensive Recovery Program
Hakimi has not featured since suffering an injury during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.
According to the same source, the Moroccan defender has been undergoing intensive recovery work in an effort to regain full fitness after sustaining a thigh muscle injury.
Reports indicate that Hakimi is expected to return to full training with the squad today unless there are any unexpected setbacks before the session begins.
His potential comeback would represent a huge boost for PSG as they prepare for one of the biggest matches in the club’s history.
PSG and Arsenal Prepare for Historic Final
Paris Saint-Germain secured their place in the final after eliminating Bayern Munich, while Arsenal advanced by overcoming Atletico Madrid in the other semi-final clash.
The Champions League final is scheduled to take place next Saturday in Budapest, Hungary, with both clubs aiming to lift Europe’s biggest club trophy.
