Frosinone offer €200,000 plus 50% sell-on clause for Omar Fayed

Frosinone have made an offer worth €200,000 to sign Omar Fayed from Fenerbahce, with the Italian club also proposing a 50% sell-on clause as negotiations between the two sides continue.

The reported bid was revealed by Italian website FrosinoneToday, which said Frosinone are seeking to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to Italy’s top flight and preparations for the new campaign in August.

Fayed remains under contract with Fenerbahce until the summer of 2027. The 23-year-old joined the Turkish club from Al Mokawloon Al Arab in the summer of 2023 but has yet to make a first-team appearance for them.

Instead, Fenerbahce have sent the Egypt international out on loan during his time at the club. He spent the 2023-24 season with Serbian side Novi Pazar before moving to Belgian club Beerschot for the 2024-25 campaign.

Fayed then played for Portuguese team Arouca during the 2025-26 season, completing a run of three consecutive loan spells away from Fenerbahce.

Across those periods, he made 38 league appearances in Serbia, Belgium and Portugal. Before moving to Turkey, Fayed had played 28 matches for Al Mokawloon Al Arab.

Frosinone’s proposal would therefore give Fenerbahce an immediate payment of €200,000 while allowing the Turkish club to retain half of any future transfer fee generated by the player. The negotiations remain ongoing, with the Italian club attempting to reach an agreement for the defender.

Frosinone are returning to Serie A and are working to reinforce their squad before the start of the season. Their discussions with Fenerbahce concern a player who has spent the past three campaigns gaining experience across three European leagues, despite not featuring for the Turkish giants since his 2023 transfer.

The proposed move would represent a new stage in Fayed’s career after his spells with Novi Pazar, Beerschot and Arouca. He began his senior career at Al Mokawloon Al Arab, where he made 28 league appearances, before joining Fenerbahce at the age of 20.

His current contract in Istanbul runs through the end of the 2026-27 season. Fenerbahce’s decision on Frosinone’s offer will determine whether Fayed remains with the club or moves to Italy as part of the Serie A side’s summer recruitment plans.
