Ange-Yoan Bonny is on the verge of completing a high-profile move from Parma to Inter Milan, with the Serie A champions reportedly leading the race to secure the 21-year-old striker’s signature.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bonny, who has spent the past four seasons with Parma Calcio, is expected to finalise the transfer in July.
The young forward, who has featured in both Serie B and Serie A during his time at the club, is now set for a significant step up in his career.
Currently under contract with Parma until June 2027, Bonny has attracted interest from several top European sides including Napoli, AS Roma, Juventus and Premier League club Chelsea.
However, Inter appear to be in pole position, with manager Cristian Chivu, a former Parma player himself, reportedly keen on bringing the striker to the San Siro.
Chivu, now in charge at Inter, is said to view Bonny as an ideal deputy for Marcus Thuram. The former Châteauroux forward has impressed with his development and versatility, attributes that have made him a standout target in the Italian market.
Parma have reportedly set a €20 million price tag on Bonny, which matches his current valuation on Transfermarkt. Despite strong interest from multiple clubs, Inter Milan are believed to be the most advanced in negotiations, with discussions expected to intensify in the coming weeks.
Bonny’s 2024-25 season has further boosted his profile. Across 37 Serie A appearances, the Franco-Ivorian contributed six goals and four assists, underlining his ability to make an impact both as a scorer and a creator.
His physical presence, technical ability and work rate have made him a consistent performer for Parma, even during a challenging campaign for the team.
His annual salary currently stands at €540,000, a figure that is expected to increase significantly should the move to Inter be completed.
The deal would represent a major progression for the striker, who began his senior career in France with Châteauroux before moving to Italy.
At 21, Bonny is seen as one of the brightest young attacking talents emerging from Ligue 2 and Serie B in recent years. His blend of athleticism and tactical maturity has not gone unnoticed, and his potential to develop into a top-tier centre-forward has drawn comparisons with some of the league’s established strikers.
For Inter Milan, securing Bonny would align with the club’s strategy of combining experience with youth in key positions.
With the physical demands of domestic and European football increasing, Chivu is eager to add depth to his attacking options, particularly with a player capable of growing within the team’s system over the long term.
While final details of the deal are yet to be agreed, all signs point toward a summer switch to the San Siro. If completed, the transfer would not only highlight Bonny’s rising stock but also mark another step in Inter’s ongoing squad evolution under Chivu’s guidance.
