Vizela weigh move for unattached French-Malian midfielder Aliou Traore

French-Malian midfielder Aliou Traore, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Vizela in Portugal’s Liga Portugal 2.

The 25-year-old central midfielder became unattached on 1 July after leaving Turkish club Van Spor FK, having joined them from fellow Turkish side Ankara Keciorengucu on a free transfer in August 2025.

Traore made his senior mark in Turkey, recording 106 appearances in the 1. Lig, with five goals and 10 assists. He also has experience in France, Italy and England, including spells with Frosinone, Parma, SM Caen and Manchester United’s under-23 side.

Born in Sarcelles, Traore began his youth career with Sarcelles before joining Paris St-Germain’s academy and later moving to Manchester United’s youth setup. He has been listed with both French and Malian nationality.

A move to Vizela would represent a return to club football after his departure from Van Spor FK. The Portuguese side are the club currently linked with the midfielder, although the rumour does not indicate that an agreement has been reached.

Traore’s market value is listed at €600,000, but there is no reported transfer fee involved while he remains unattached. He is currently without a club and has no contract expiry date listed.
