Club Brugge has initiated talks with Toulouse FC over the possible summer transfer of promising Franco-Cameroonian forward Noah Edjouma, who has emerged as a key target for the Belgian side.

Edjouma, 19, made his professional debut for Toulouse during the second half of the 2023–24 season, making 10 appearances and scoring twice in Ligue 1.

Despite limited game time, the youngster has displayed flashes of his potential, catching the attention of several European clubs.

According to a report by L’Équipe, Club Brugge is leading the race for Edjouma’s signature, having placed him high on their summer shortlist.

Negotiations between the Belgian outfit and Toulouse are already under way as Brugge look to finalise a deal before the end of the window.

The Belgian club’s interest is in line with their longstanding recruitment strategy, which focuses on identifying and developing emerging talent from across Europe and Africa.

Club Brugge’s regular participation in European competitions, including the Champions League, makes them an appealing destination for young players aiming to accelerate their careers on a bigger stage.

For Edjouma, the opportunity to join one of Belgium’s top clubs would mark a significant step forward, particularly given Brugge’s reputation for nurturing young talent.

With the Jupiler Pro League known for providing a competitive environment for rising stars, the move could offer the Franco-Cameroonian striker greater playing time and international exposure.

However, Toulouse FC may prove difficult to negotiate with. Still tied to the French side until June 2027, Edjouma is regarded as one of their most promising academy graduates.

With several first-team players already departing since the window opened, the club is under no pressure to sell and may seek to drive a hard bargain.

Edjouma is currently valued at €800,000 on Transfermarkt, but Toulouse could demand a significantly higher fee given his long-term contract and rising profile. The final decision may ultimately depend on how far Club Brugge is willing to go to secure the forward’s services.

Toulouse’s reluctance to lose more players this summer is understandable, especially given their ambitions to remain competitive in Ligue 1.

Yet the prospect of cashing in on a young talent while demand is high could prove tempting if Brugge presents an offer deemed too good to refuse.

With weeks still remaining in the summer transfer window, the situation remains fluid. Edjouma continues to train with the Toulouse first team, but the growing interest from abroad—led by Club Brugge—suggests that his time in Ligue 1 may be short-lived.

Should the deal go through, Edjouma would be the latest in a line of young talents to pass through Club Brugge’s system, potentially setting the stage for a breakout season in Belgium’s top flight.
