FIFA lifts TS Galaxy registration ban, opening door for 14 players
FIFA has lifted the final outstanding registration ban involving an active Premier Soccer League club, allowing TS Galaxy to register 14 players ahead of their visit to Marumo Gallants on Tuesday.
The sanction against TS Galaxy was removed late on Friday, almost six months after it was imposed on 27 February 2026. The club had been blocked from registering players following regulatory breaches linked to the FIFA Clearing House.
The world governing body has now cleared the ban after TS Galaxy complied with the requests made by FIFA.
The decision could significantly widen coach Bernard Parker’s selection options when Galaxy face Marumo Gallants at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. The 14 players affected by the registration restriction had been unavailable for the club’s opening three matches of the season.
Those fixtures produced two draws and one defeat, meaning the newly eligible squad members could now provide additional options as TS Galaxy look to improve their early campaign.
The players who can now be registered are Sifiso Ngobeni, Zuko Gxabusa, Edson Khumalo, Camagu Mdevulana, Mpho Maoke, Anslin William, Simthandile Sishi, Bongani van den Heede, Lennol Mathebula, Azola Jakalashe, Thabelo Tshikweta, Katekane Mhlongo, Nhlakanipho Ngwenya and Siphesihle Tati.
TS Galaxy had been the only active Premier Soccer League club still affected by a FIFA registration ban. The removal of the sanction brings an end to the final outstanding case of that nature involving a current PSL side.
The ban was related specifically to regulatory matters surrounding the FIFA Clearing House, rather than a sporting suspension. Its lifting means the club may proceed with the registration of the listed players, subject to the relevant competition and administrative requirements.
FIFA had previously identified TS Galaxy as regular offenders in relation to such matters. However, the club’s compliance with the latest instructions has resulted in the blacklisting being removed.
The timing gives Parker the possibility of strengthening his matchday squad for the trip to Rustenburg. The 14 players had not been involved in any of the team’s first three games because they could not be registered while the sanction remained in place.
With the restriction now lifted, TS Galaxy can assess whether to include them for Tuesday’s match against Marumo Gallants. The fixture at Royal Bafokeng Stadium will be their next opportunity to turn the FIFA ruling into greater squad depth on the pitch.
