The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced a substantial financial penalty against the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), amounting to 15,000 francs, and mandated compensation of $250,000 to a company following a dispute involving Zamalek.
FIFA cited the cancellation of a match between Zamalek and a Saudi Arabian club, during which contractual agreements were reportedly signed in the presence of a company without acceptable justification.
Currently, Zamalek finds itself embroiled in a significant crisis with the Egyptian Football Association, stemming from its insistence on withdrawing from and not completing the league championship unless all teams are equal in terms of match participation.
