Al Ahly defender, Achraf Dari, says they have the quality to achieve their target at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Egyptian side will get their tournament underway against Inter Miami on Sunday, June 15, at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Ahead of the start of the tournament, Dari said that his team is preparing intensively for the tournament, and everyone is very focused.
“We arrived in America early and quickly settled into the atmosphere. Al-Ahly players have a strong desire to achieve good results, and we hope to perform at the required level to please the fans,” the Morocco international said.
“Ribeiro is a good coach and works well with us. We’ve trained on his style of play and are working on playing as a team and performing well during matches. We are one family within Al Ahly, and our goal is to achieve good results and make the club’s fans, in particular, and the Egyptian people, in general, happy.
“We are proud to participate in the Club World Cup and we strive to live up to the responsibility and make everyone happy. Thank God for winning the league, even though we were far behind at a certain stage. But the players were men and we are one family. We made a great effort and competed for the title until the very last moment. I thank the players and fans who supported the team,” he added.
Al Ahly in Group A alongside Inter Miami, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras and FC Porto.
