FECAFOOT to inaugurate new headquarters in Yaoundé
The Cameroonian Football Federation will officially inaugurate its new headquarters in Yaoundé on Wednesday, May 13, marking a significant moment for football administration in the country.
The new building, presented as one of the major projects initiated under the leadership of Samuel Eto’o, is expected to become the central base for the federation’s operations.
FECAFOOT officials describe the headquarters as a modern facility equipped with infrastructure designed to meet the demands of contemporary football management.
The federation has planned a celebratory programme to accompany the inauguration ceremony, with activities set to take place across the Cameroonian capital.
According to organisers, a caravan will depart from FECAFOOT’s former headquarters before travelling through several parts of Yaoundé and concluding at the military stadium.
The event is expected to attract large crowds as football supporters gather to witness the opening of the federation’s new administrative centre.
Several prominent figures from Cameroonian football as well as international guests are also expected to attend the ceremony. Their presence is intended to underline the significance of the project for football development in the country.
The headquarters project has been closely associated with Samuel Eto’o’s presidency at FECAFOOT. Since taking charge of the federation, the former Cameroon international has repeatedly highlighted the importance of improving football structures and administrative facilities.
The new complex is being presented as a symbol of modernisation within Cameroonian football, with officials insisting that the infrastructure reflects the ambitions of the federation moving forward.
The inauguration ceremony is expected to combine official proceedings with public celebrations as FECAFOOT formally opens what it considers one of its most important recent achievements.
With preparations now complete, attention has shifted to Wednesday’s event, which will officially introduce the federation’s new headquarters to the football community and the wider public in Cameroon.
