FC Lorient has successfully concluded an agreement with OGC Nice for the loan acquisition of promising talent Badredine Bouanani. The deal, valued at an estimated €1 million, underscores Lorient’s commitment to bolstering their ranks for the remainder of the season.
The official announcement came from FC Lorient, heralding the arrival of the 19-year-old attacking midfielder.
The loan arrangement, devoid of an option to buy, positions Bouanani as a valuable asset for Lorient’s campaign until the season’s conclusion.
Trained at Lille LOSC, the young talent transitioned to the Côte d’Azur and OGC Nice in the summer of 2022.
His debut in Ligue 1 on January 11, 2023, against Montpellier showcased his potential, contributing to Nice’s resounding 6-1 victory and marking his first assist in the league.
The Algerian international, with five caps to his name, has accumulated 29 appearances across all competitions with the Aiglons.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new challenge, Bouanani shared his thoughts on the official club platform.
“The challenge proposed by the Lorient leaders is very pleasant, and I want to take it up.
The coach’s speech and the game plan presented were decisive in my choice,” he stated. Bouanani, wearing the iconic number 10 jersey, emphasized his commitment to aiding Lorient in maintaining their esteemed position in Ligue 1.
He lauded the squad’s quality and expressed his determination to contribute to the team’s objectives.
Badredine Bouanani is poised to integrate into the FC Lorient setup promptly, with his first training session scheduled for tomorrow.
The young talent’s addition adds depth and skill to Lorient’s midfield, marking a significant move for both the player and the club in their pursuit of success in the ongoing season.
