Faisal Bangal joins Turris as Mozambique forward signs through 2027

Faisal Bangal, the 31-year-old Mozambique centre-forward, has joined Turris from Mestre on a free transfer.

Bangal has signed a contract with the Serie D-H club running until 30 June 2027, moving after two seasons with Mestre. The switch was completed on 12 August and gives Turris an established forward for their upcoming campaign.

The Chimoio-born striker spent the 2025-26 season at Mestre, who compete in Serie D-C. He had joined the club from Luparense in July 2024, also on a free transfer, after a season with Alcione.

Bangal has built the majority of his senior career in Italy’s lower divisions and has scored 57 goals in 193 Serie D appearances across three different groups. His record also includes 18 assists in those matches. He has been used primarily as a central striker and is naturally right-footed.

His strongest Serie D return came in Group B, where he scored 26 goals in 100 appearances. He added 23 goals in 55 matches in Group C and eight in 38 games in Group D. Across his career, he has also scored five times in seven Coppa Serie D appearances and three times in three Serie D play-off matches.

The Mozambique international began his professional pathway in Italy with Atalanta’s youth set-up before moving into senior football. He spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Ascoli, where he was part of the side that won the Italian third-tier title. Further loan spells took him to San Marino and Tuttocuoio before he left Atalanta.

Bangal later moved abroad to Albania, joining KF Teuta in 2016, and subsequently returned to Italy after a period without a club. He resumed his career with Scanzorosciate in December 2018, before passing through Caravaggio, Alcione, Luparense and Mestre.

The forward’s move to Turris continues a career that has largely been based in Italian football, with his latest club competing in a different Serie D group from his previous side. Turris have now secured his services without a transfer fee, with the 31-year-old committed to the club until the end of June 2027.
