The Europa League quarter-finals delivered some thrilling matches on Thursday evening, with several clubs securing their spots in the semi-finals.

FC Valencia pulled off a remarkable comeback against FC Basel after losing the first leg 3-0 in Switzerland. The Spanish side dominated the match, winning 5-0 after extra time, with standout performances from Algerian Sofiane Feghouli and Malian Seydou Keita.

Another Spanish club, FC Sevilla, also booked their place in the semi-finals by overturning a first-leg deficit against FC Porto. Despite losing 2-0 in Portugal, Sevilla secured a 4-1 victory in the return leg, with Cameroonian Stéphane Mbia playing a crucial role.

Meanwhile, Juventus Turin held off Lyon to advance to the next stage of the competition. Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah expressed his anticipation for the upcoming semi-finals, with the draw scheduled for Friday.
