Engen reveals redesigned trophy for 2026 Champ of Champs tournament

Engen has unveiled a new trophy for the 2026 Engen Champ of Champs, with the design intended to reflect the tournament’s role in developing South Africa’s young football talent.

The contemporary trophy celebrates the ability, ambition and potential of players identified and nurtured through the competition. It also reflects the tournament’s growth and the increasingly competitive standard of youth football on display.

A football has been incorporated into the design, symbolising the link between youth development, emerging players and the sport itself. While it will be presented to the tournament winners, the trophy also underlines Engen’s commitment to investing in youth football development in South Africa and providing meaningful opportunities for young players.

This year’s theme is “Where Diski Legends Start”, and the trophy is intended to represent a significant stage in the development of players hoping to progress to higher levels of the game.

The trophy was presented on Tuesday, 29 September during the Engen Champ of Champs draw. The event determined the groups for the 18 participating teams, which are split equally between the Boys’ Under-18 and Girls’ Under-20 divisions.

The 2026 Engen Champ of Champs will take place at the High-Performance Centre in Pretoria from 02 – 04 October 2026.
