Eintracht Frankfurt close to signing Raphael Onyedika

Raphael Onyedika’s move to Eintracht Frankfurt is now very close, with both Frankfurt and Club Brugge pushing to finish the transfer after narrowing the gap in talks.

Reports say the Bundesliga club is aiming for a fee in the region of 9 million euros, slightly above its earlier offer of around 8 million euros. Frankfurt’s leaders, including sporting director Markus Krösche, are said to be confident the deal can be completed in the coming days.

Onyedika, 25, has already agreed to the move in principle, and the latest interest from Saudi club Al Ittihad does not appear to have changed his mind.

He still wants Frankfurt, where he could become an important midfield addition for the new season. The Nigeria international is currently preparing with Brugge, but the plan is for him to join Frankfurt’s camp in Grassau once the paperwork is done.

The transfer would give Frankfurt a dynamic defensive midfielder with experience at a high level and a clear desire to make the Bundesliga switch. For now, the final step is agreeing the last details with Brugge and closing the deal.
