Eintracht Braunschweig consider Salzburg defender Hendry Blank

German-Ghanaian defender Hendry Blank is the subject of a reported move from Salzburg to Eintracht Braunschweig, with the 2. Bundesliga club linked with a transfer before the window closes.

The 22-year-old centre-back returned to Salzburg at the end of last season after spending the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Hannover 96. The rumoured switch has been assessed at 40%, while Blank’s current market value is listed at €1.2m.

Blank has not featured for Salzburg during the opening weeks of the 2026-27 campaign, with no appearances in the Bundesliga, Austrian Cup or Europa League qualifying. His lack of playing time is understood to be relevant to the interest from Braunschweig, although no transfer has been confirmed.

He joined Salzburg from Borussia Dortmund’s reserve side in February 2024 in a deal valued at €4m. The move followed his development through Dortmund’s academy, where he won the German Under-19 Bundesliga title in 2021-22 and the West division championship in consecutive seasons.

Blank, who was born in Reutlingen and stands 1.89m tall, is contracted to Salzburg until 30 June 2028. His potential move would take him from Austria’s Bundesliga to Germany’s second tier, but the rumour remains unconfirmed.
