The Egyptian Football Federation has dismissed the idea of hiring a foreign coach for the various age categories of the women’s national teams, following the departure of Mohamed Kamal, who previously headed both the senior and youth teams.
In exclusive comments to “Kora Plus” today, a source within the football federation stated, “If there is a proposal to bring in a foreign expert to enhance the setup, it must be under the condition that they oversee the women’s national teams alongside Egyptian assistants.”
The same source pointed out that the reason for rejecting the idea lies in the insufficient funds available to the football federation, especially in foreign currency such as the dollar.
Another reason cited is the desire to empower a larger number of national coaches, both male and female, to work within the various national teams.
Furthermore, there is apprehension about potential failure, particularly after the recent experience with Ricardo Vitoria’s tenure with the Egyptian national team.
Following that experience, the decision was made to appoint an Egyptian coaching staff led by Hossam Hassan.
