DR Congo forward Kanjinga extends PSG stay until 2030
DR Congo international Merveille Kanjinga has committed her long-term future to Paris Saint-Germain Women team after signing a four-year contract extension that will keep her at the club until 2030.
Kanjinga’s new deal comes after an impressive breakthrough spell in Paris, where she has rapidly developed into one of the team’s most influential attacking players since arriving in January 2025. Her performances have seen her grow from a new signing into a consistent starter and a key creative force in PSG’s forward line.
Since joining the French giants, Kanjinga has recorded 17 goals and 14 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions, a return that highlights both her scoring ability and her growing contribution in creating chances for teammates. Her versatility in the final third has also given PSG greater tactical flexibility, allowing her to operate in multiple attacking roles when needed.
Her development reached another level during the 2025–2026 campaign, where she finished as the top assist provider in the French women’s league. That achievement cemented her reputation as one of the most productive playmakers in the division and one of PSG’s standout performers over the season.
Per sources, the extension is part of PSG’s long-term strategy to build stability around young, high-impact players, with Kanjinga seen as central to their future ambitions both domestically and in European competition.
For Kanjinga, the decision to stay in Paris reflects both her confidence in her development pathway and her belief in the project at the club. The new contract also signals PSG’s intent to retain key talent amid growing interest in their squad from across Europe.
As PSG continue to strengthen their women’s team, Kanjinga’s presence is expected to remain a key factor in their pursuit of silverware in the coming seasons, with the club viewing her as one of the pillars of their long-term attacking setup.
