DAvila Messi Kessie: Ivorian winger joins Maio Benguela on free transfer from ISCA

Ivorian left winger DAvila Messi Kessie has joined Angolan side Maio Benguela on a free transfer from ISCA. The 26-year-old, born in Abidjan and naturally left-footed, strengthens the attacking options at the Benguela club after leaving the Ivorian outfit at the end of last season.

Kessie, who stands at 1.67m, arrives as an experienced wide player, having operated primarily on the left side of attack. He previously built his senior career in Europe before returning to Africa, and now makes the switch to Angola as a free agent signing.

Before his move to Maio Benguela, Kessie had been on the books of ISCA since January 2023, having joined them after a spell without a club. His earlier career included time in Spain with Granadas youth and under-19 sides, as well as a loan spell at CD Huetor Vega, before he moved to Greek club Panserraikos in 2020.

During his time in Greece, Kessie featured in both the Super League 2 and the Football League, making more than 40 competitive appearances across league and cup. In one season he recorded a goal and five assists in the Football League, while also adding further minutes and an assist in the second tier and appearing in the Greek Cup.

Kessies transfer to Maio Benguela was completed on 10 July 2026 as a free transfer, confirming his permanent move from ISCA to the Angolan club.
