Saudi Arabian club Al Fateh has reportedly reached a full agreement with the representatives of Congolese striker Fiston Kalala Mayele to secure his signature during the current summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old forward has accepted the club’s offer, and Al Fateh has already initiated discussions with his current employers, Pyramids FC, to negotiate a transfer fee.
The Saudi side is believed to be offering $1.5 million (€1.3 million) to release the prolific attacker from his contract.
Mayele, who was the standout performer in the 2024–25 CAF Champions League, finished as the competition’s top scorer with nine goals, helping lead Pyramids FC to continental glory.
His performances have caught the eye of several clubs, but Al Fateh appears to have taken the lead in the race for his services.
“The annual salary, contract details, and bonuses were agreed upon between Al Fateh management and the player’s agent,” the source revealed, indicating that only the club-to-club negotiations remain before the deal can be finalised.
Despite the agreement between the Saudi club and the player’s camp, there may be significant hurdles to clear before Mayele’s move becomes a reality.
The management of Pyramids FC is reportedly reluctant to part with their star striker, especially after a triumphant Champions League campaign.
The club is keen to maintain squad stability ahead of next season and sees Mayele as an integral part of their plans.
The Egyptian side has recently demonstrated its intent to keep the core of the team intact by renewing the contract of Moroccan international Walid El Karti, a decision that highlights the club’s ambition to build on its recent success.
Mayele’s current contract with Pyramids FC runs until June 30, 2026.
The striker, who is valued at €1.8 million, has made 38 appearances for the club, netting 18 goals and contributing two assists.
His consistent goal-scoring form and physical presence have made him one of the most sought-after players from the African continent.
As the summer window unfolds, all eyes will be on Pyramids FC and their decision — whether to cash in on their prized asset or reject Al Fateh’s offer and continue building around their Congolese talisman.
