Como lodge increased bid for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah in summer push

Como have submitted an improved offer worth up to €30m to sign Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah as they intensify efforts to secure a deal this summer.

The Serie A side have sent a new proposal to Chelsea featuring a fixed fee of €25m, plus a further €5m in bonuses that are regarded as easily achievable, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The revised package brings the total value of the bid close to €30m and is seen as narrowing the gap between the two clubs as negotiations continue.

Talks between Chelsea and Como remain active, with both sides yet to reach a full agreement but still engaged in discussions over the structure and terms of the transfer.

Chalobah open to Serie A move

Chalobah is understood to be favourable to the idea of joining Como, viewing a switch to Italy as a positive step in his career.

The 27-year-old defender, who has Sierra Leonean roots, is said to be enthusiastic about the prospect of taking on a new challenge in Serie A, something that could help smooth the path towards a final agreement.
