Born on March 12, 1950, in Barakaldo, Spain, Clemente’s journey in football has been marked by both success and challenges. His playing career was cut short by injury at the age of 21, but he transitioned into coaching, where he found great success.
As a coach, Clemente achieved notable milestones, including winning the Spanish championship twice with Athletic Bilbao in 1983 and 1984. He also led Espanyol Barcelona to the UEFA Cup final in 1988. Clemente served as the coach of the Spain national team from 1992 to 1998 and later coached other teams such as Cameroon, Serbia, and Libya.
