Chad National Coach Reveals 24-Player Squad for 2015 CAN Qualifiers Against Malawi
Chad’s national team coach, Emmanuel Tregoat, has unveiled a 24-player squad for the upcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers, with the first preliminary round match against Malawi scheduled for this weekend. The French coach is determined to lead Chad to success and is focused on restoring pride in the nation’s football.
Tregoat expressed his ambition to not only secure a positive result but also to help the Chadian people regain confidence in their footballing future. “I want to help the Chadian people regain their smile, reconnect with their football, and get back to good results. All of this is possible if the resources are made available to me in time,” Tregoat said.
Chad will face Malawi in a two-legged fixture, and should they succeed, they will go on to play the winner of the Sao Tome Principe vs. Benin matchup. If Chad progresses past this stage, they could find themselves in Group B alongside heavyweights Mali, Algeria, and Ethiopia.
