André Onana has no intention of leaving Manchester United this summer, despite ongoing speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford.

The Cameroonian international has reportedly reaffirmed his commitment to the club, choosing to continue his Premier League journey amid external interest.

Onana, who joined United from Inter Milan in 2023, has faced intense scrutiny over his performances during his debut season in England. However, the 28-year-old remains firmly focused on proving his worth to both the coaching staff and the supporters.

According to sources reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester United are not entertaining offers for their No.1, with the club making it clear they intend to keep the former Ajax and Inter man for the 2025–26 campaign.

The Red Devils, who have been linked with several goalkeeping options during the summer window, are reportedly prepared to back Onana by reinforcing the environment around him.

While his form fluctuated over the past season, there is still a strong belief within the club hierarchy that he can rise to the occasion and deliver consistent top-level performances.

Onana’s adaptation to English football has not been without challenges. After high-profile errors in the UEFA Champions League group stages and a series of mixed domestic performances, some pundits questioned whether the Cameroonian was the long-term solution for United between the posts.

But internally, there appears to be no doubt. The club’s technical staff and management continue to support the goalkeeper, viewing him as a cornerstone of their plans.

The 2024–25 campaign will be pivotal for Onana as Manchester United look to recover from a turbulent season. The former Inter star’s passing ability and composure under pressure were key factors in Erik ten Hag’s decision to sign him, and the Dutch manager remains confident in Onana’s suitability for his possession-based system.

Despite whispers of potential interest from clubs across Europe, including those from Saudi Arabia and Serie A, Onana has shown no interest in a move.

His resolve to stay and succeed at United appears to have impressed club officials, who are now looking at ways to provide him with greater stability—potentially including new signings in defence and midfield to better shield the back line.

With pre-season preparations underway, Onana is expected to remain the first-choice goalkeeper heading into the new campaign. Manchester United fans, while divided on his performances so far, will be watching closely to see whether the Cameroonian can deliver the consistency and leadership expected of a United number one.

His decision to remain at Old Trafford signals his desire to silence critics and justify the faith shown in him. For now, all indications suggest André Onana’s Manchester United chapter is far from over.
