CAF begins Media Accreditation for World Cup Qualifiers play-offs in Morocco
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially launched the media accreditation process for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers CAF Play-Offs, scheduled to take place in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to 16, 2025.
In an official statement, CAF indicated that accredited journalists will be issued a single pass granting access to all three matches at the designated venues in the Moroccan capital.
The accreditation process, which is currently open, closes on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The play-offs will determine Africa’s final representative for the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The semi-final fixtures promise thrilling matchups between some of Africa’s football powerhouses. Nigeria will face Gabon in the first semi-final on Thursday, November 13, at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex, with kick-off at 17h00 local time (16h00 GMT).
Later that evening, Cameroon will take on DR Congo at the El Barid Stadium, kicking off at 20h00 local time (19h00 GMT).
The winners of both semi-finals will meet in the grand final on Sunday, November 16, at 20h00 local time (19h00 GMT), once again at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex.
CAF’s decision to host all matches in Rabat highlights Morocco’s growing stature as a preferred destination for major continental tournaments, thanks to its top-tier infrastructure and organisational excellence.
Media professionals interested in covering the event are encouraged to apply through CAF’s official accreditation portal before the November 8 deadline.
