Boris Kamdem begins new chapter with JD Lajense after Micaelense exit
Cameroon midfielder Boris Kamdem has joined Portugal’s JD Lajense from Micaelense on a free transfer, beginning a new chapter in his career at the age of 26.
The defensive midfielder completed the move on 1 September 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. He will continue his career in Portugal with JD Lajense, who compete in the CP – Serie D.
Kamdem spent the previous season with Micaelense after moving there from Germany’s TSV Singen in September 2025. His switch to Micaelense followed a free transfer to TSV Singen from Portuguese club Praiense the previous month.
The midfielder’s arrival at JD Lajense continues a career that has included clubs in both Portugal and Germany. Before joining Praiense, he played for Montalegre, Esp. Lagos, Coimbroes and Gouveia.
Kamdem first moved to Gouveia in July 2019, before changing clubs regularly in the following seasons. He joined Coimbroes in January 2022 and Praiense later that year. A return to Praiense followed in January 2024 after his spell with Esp. Lagos, before he moved to Montalegre in July 2024.
He returned to Praiense at the beginning of 2025 and then left Portugal for TSV Singen during the summer. After one season in Germany, he went back to Portugal with Micaelense, where he remained until completing his latest move.
Kamdem is listed as a right-footed defensive midfielder and stands 1.81m tall. His position places him at the base of midfield, while his latest transfer gives him a fresh opportunity in the CP – Serie D.
The move to JD Lajense is the latest step in a career marked by repeated changes of club across Portugal’s football system, alongside a spell in Germany. Unlike several of his earlier switches, for which no fee is recorded, his departure from Micaelense and arrival at JD Lajense have been completed as a free transfer.
Kamdem’s contract with JD Lajense runs through June 2027, confirming his move to the Portuguese club.
