French National 2 club, Girondins de Bordeaux, has identified Cameroonian attacker Junior Kameni as a potential signing to strengthen their squad for the second half of the 2024/25 season.
Currently in fourth place in Group B of the National 2 league, Bordeaux is aiming to reinforce its team as the winter transfer window approaches.
Head coach Bruno Irles has expressed his desire for new additions to the squad during a pre-match press conference ahead of the Coupe de France clash with Rennes.
Among the targets is Junior Kameni, a Cameroonian centre forward who currently plays for Kaysar Kyzylorda in Kazakhstan. Kameni joined Kaysar Kyzylorda in July 2024 from the Moroccan club FUS Rabat.
The 23-year-old striker, valued at €250,000, is under contract until November 2025.
Preliminary discussions between Bordeaux and Kameni’s camp are reported to have taken place, signalling a strong interest from the French side.
If the move materialises, Kameni’s arrival could provide Bordeaux with the offensive boost they seek as they aim to climb higher in their league standings.
