With just two matches remaining in the group stage, the African Confederation Cup is nearing its conclusion.
Despite the two remaining matches, qualification scenarios have been officially settled.
FilGoal.com reveals all the teams that have secured their spots in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The biggest surprise of the group stage came with the early exit of Tunisian side Esperance, paving the way for Ghanaian outfit Dreams FC to advance.
Esperance won three out of their first four group-stage matches and needed to avoid defeat in their last two matches to secure qualification.
However, they suffered a loss in one and drew the other, leading to their elimination from the tournament.
In Group A:
- USM Alger
- Modern Future
In Group B:
- Zamalek
- Abu Salim
In Group C:
- Rivers United
- Dreams FC
The standings in Group D have yet to be finalized, but both Raja Casablanca and Stade Malien have secured their spots in the quarterfinals.
With Zamalek topping their group and Modern Stars finishing second, there is a possibility of an all-Egyptian clash between the two in the quarterfinals.
