Jude Bellingham praised Yan Diomande’s “incredible” goal after Real Madrid beat Racing Santander 3-0, saying he had not realised his team-mate was capable of striking the ball with such power.
Diomande scored a similar goal against Leipzig, but Bellingham admitted he was still surprised to see him repeat the feat against Racing Santander.
“He has an incredible shot and I did not know he possessed that kind of ability,” Bellingham told Real Madrid TV. “He scored a similar goal against Leipzig and now he has done it against Racing. He is a special player and we are lucky to have him in the team.”
The match was also significant for Bellingham, who scored his 50th goal for Real Madrid. That took him level with the tally of French club legend Zinedine Zidane.
The England midfielder said reaching the milestone was a notable achievement, but stressed that the team’s success depended on contributions from across the squad.
“The victory was extremely important after our win at Camp Nou and we are very happy,” he said. “Scoring 50 goals is special for me, but what matters most is that every player contributes goals and helps the team.”
Real Madrid have now kept three consecutive clean sheets, an achievement Bellingham attributed to collective effort. He praised the club’s defenders and goalkeepers Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin, while adding that the manager consistently emphasises the importance of preventing goals.
Bellingham also described the result as Real Madrid’s sixth successive victory, although he said the focus must quickly turn to the matches ahead.
“The sixth win in a row is positive, but the most important thing is to prepare for the next challenges,” he said, identifying AEK Athens as the first of those challenges before Valencia.
The fixture information lists AEK Athens in the Champions League on 04 November 2026. It also lists Real Madrid against Malaga in La Liga on 07 November 2026, with Racing Santander included in the schedule details.
