Bayern Munich tie down Senegal prospect Bara Sabouko Ndiaye until 2031

Bara Sabouko Ndiaye has signed his first professional contract with Bayern Munich, committing the Senegalese forward to the German club until 2031.

The 18-year-old completed the agreement on Monday after making a strong impression during four appearances for Bayern’s first team. Ndiaye had been on loan at the Bavarian club since last winter from Gambinos Stars Africa’s academy in The Gambia.

His performances have persuaded Bayern to make the move permanent, with the teenager now set to form part of Vincent Kompany’s plans from the start of the new season. The Belgian manager will have the young striker available as the club continues to develop one of Senegal’s emerging talents.

Bayern confirmed the deal on their official website, describing it as the next step in Ndiaye’s progression after his breakthrough into the senior side.

“This is a great day for me and my whole family,” Ndiaye said after signing his contract. “I want to learn every day alongside all these outstanding players at Bayern Munich and try to help the team.”

He added: “It is a dream come true for me. I am extremely happy, and I also want to be an example for other young players, such as my team-mates at Gambinos Stars, to show them that it is possible to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

Ndiaye’s contract represents a significant commitment from Bayern, who have opted to secure his future after only four first-team matches. The Senegal international will now continue his development within the club’s senior set-up, having moved from the Gambian academy during the winter.

The forward has already gained experience on the international stage. He made one appearance for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, where the Lions of Teranga reached the round of 32 before being eliminated by Belgium.

That tournament involvement came as Ndiaye continued his rapid rise from academy football to the senior game. His time with Gambinos Stars Africa provided the foundation for his move to Bayern, while his first-team opportunities in Munich gave the club the chance to assess him at a higher level.

Bayern’s decision to offer a contract running through 2031 underlines their belief in his potential. Ndiaye will now look to build on his early senior appearances and establish himself in Kompany’s squad when the new campaign begins.

For the player, the agreement marks the formal start of his professional career at one of world football’s biggest clubs. It also gives him the opportunity to learn alongside Bayern’s established squad while continuing to represent Senegal.
