Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, is open to including France-born defender of Cameroonian descent Sacha Boey in his squad for the 2025/26 football season.
Boey joined the German champions from Turkish side Galatasaray during the 2024 winter transfer window in a deal worth €30 million. However, his debut campaign in Munich failed to impress, with multiple reports suggesting he could be placed on the transfer list.
According to kicker, Bayern’s management remains open to offers for the 24-year-old, but at present, all signs point toward him staying at the Allianz Arena. Boey himself has shown no interest in leaving, and crucially, new head coach Vincent Kompany appears to value his presence in the squad.
Galatasaray are reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing Boey back to Istanbul, but interest isn’t limited to Turkey.
Despite a rocky start to his Bayern career, Boey may now have a chance to prove himself under Kompany, who seems keen to give the defender a fresh start as part of his plans for the new season.
