Moroccan club, AS FAR, has denied parting ways with head coach, Alexandre Santos.
Reports emerged suggesting that the club will sack the Portugese gaffer after losing on penalty shootouts against RS Berkane in their quarterfinal game over the weekend.
However, a source close to the team has dismissed the report.
“The Royal Army did not negotiate with its former Tunisian coach, Nasreddine Nabi, who attended the military team’s match against Nahdat Berkane,” the source said.
“There is no truth to the reports of the dismissal of Alexander Santos, who will remain the coach of the Royal Army for the next 2025-2026 season.”
AS FAR finished its season second in the Moroccan Premier League, behind defending champions Renaissance Berkane, and was eliminated from the CAF Champions League in the quarter-finals.
