Amine Gouiri leads Africa’s most decisive players in 2026

Amine Gouiri has been named the most decisive African player of 2026 in Europe’s five major leagues, according to figures published by The Pop Foot.

The Algeria international has recorded 24 attacking contributions in 36 matches for Olympique de Marseille, with 19 goals and five assists. His average of 0.67 contributions per game is the best among the players included in the ranking.

Gouiri’s combination of finishing and creativity puts him ahead of a number of highly productive African forwards this year. His 24-goal contributions comprise the highest overall total in the list.

Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy is second with 22 contributions in 34 matches. He has scored 19 goals and provided three assists.

Senegal forward Ismaila Sarr and Cote d’Ivoire international Nicolas Pepe share third place on 20 contributions each. Sarr has the stronger goalscoring record, with 18 goals, while Pepe has supplied nine assists.

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo is the other player to reach 20 contributions. He has scored 14 goals and created six more in 43 matches.

Mohamed Salah and Akor Adams both have 19 attacking contributions. Salah has reached that total in 32 matches, while Adams has done so in 36.

Ademola Lookman also has 19 contributions, although he has played 44 matches. Morocco’s Abde Ezzalzouli follows with 18, while Mali forward Lassine Sinayoko completes the top 10 with 16 contributions from 26 matches.
