Algerian striker Mouhamed Belkheir signs New RAAL contract until 2028
Mouhamed Belkheir will continue his career with RAAL after signing a new deal that runs until 2028.
The Algerian forward, who finished last season as the club’s top scorer, also included an option to extend his contract for one more year.
The agreement ends weeks of speculation about his future and confirms his commitment to the Belgian side.
Belkheir seemed set for a move away from Belgium during the summer. RAAL triggered the €300,000 purchase clause in his deal with Fortuna Sittard, aiming to sell him on for a profit.
Saudi Pro League club Al-Riyadh reached an agreement with the Belgian team, and Belkheir prepared for the transfer.
However, the Saudi football authorities rejected the deal and blocked the registration. That decision ended the transfer and forced Belkheir to reassess his options.
Several clubs later showed interest in the 26-year-old striker, but none of the offers materialised. As weeks passed, uncertainty grew over his next move.
Belkheir decided to commit his future to RAAL after discussions with the club’s management. The new contract rewards his importance to the team and reflects the faith the Wolves place in his ability. He remains a crucial figure in their attacking plans for the coming seasons.
The striker’s performances last season highlighted his influence in front of goal. He led the team’s scoring charts and played a central role in their campaign. RAAL’s decision to extend his stay shows their desire to build around a player who consistently delivers.
Belkheir also sees the deal as an opportunity to continue developing his career in a stable environment.
The Belgian league offers a platform for further growth, and RAAL’s ambitions align with his goals. Both parties believe the new agreement will help them achieve success in the coming years.
The forward’s decision provides a significant boost to RAAL’s preparations for the future. His presence ensures continuity in attack and strengthens their push for better results.
Fans also welcomed the news, relieved that their star striker will remain at the club.
Belkheir’s journey over the summer reflects the unpredictable nature of football transfers. What seemed a straightforward move to the Middle East collapsed at the final stage, leading to weeks of speculation. Now, with his future resolved, he can focus entirely on helping RAAL achieve their targets.
The Wolves view Belkheir as a key piece in their long-term project. His experience, goals, and leadership will guide a squad eager to challenge for higher honours.
With a new deal secured, both the player and the club can look forward to the seasons ahead with renewed confidence.
