Moroccan striker Yousef En Nesyri is facing uncertain future at Al-Ittihad

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad are reportedly weighing the option of transferring Moroccan Yousef En-Nesyri in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Moroccan forward, who arrived in January 2026 amid high expectations, is already facing an uncertain future as club officials quietly assess alternatives ahead of the next campaign.

Reports indicate that recruitment plans are underway, with Al-Ittihad targeting a new leading striker for the 2026–2027 season despite En-Nesyri’s recent arrival.

This shift in stance comes at a challenging moment for the 28-year-old, who is currently sidelined after picking up an injury during last Friday’s league encounter against Al-Hazem.

While the club has not released detailed medical updates, his absence has added urgency to internal conversations about the reliability of the current attacking setup.

Brought in from Fenerbahçe to succeed Karim Benzema, En-Nesyri was initially seen as the focal point of Al-Ittihad’s forward line through to 2028. However, the club’s apparent willingness to “seek a replacement” points to growing concerns over consistency and durability in a demanding league environment.

With the striker now unavailable, head coach Sérgio Conceição is adjusting his approach as the team prepares for their upcoming fixture against Neom. Training sessions have taken on a more experimental edge, with the coaching staff searching for the right attacking balance in his absence.

As the season approaches a decisive phase, Al-Ittihad find themselves navigating both short-term challenges on the pitch and longer-term decisions that could reshape their frontline in the months ahead.
