Al Ittihad Alexandria complete 22nd summer signing with Pascal Fery loan

Al Ittihad Alexandria have signed Zambian international Pascal Fery on loan from Pyramids FC until the end of the season, taking their total number of summer arrivals to 22 under manager Hamza El-Gamal.

The move was confirmed by Al Ittihad Alexandria after the club completed the financial arrangements with Pyramids FC. Fery joins for one sporting season and is expected to strengthen the team’s options in the wide areas.

The club’s board, led by Mohamed Salama, announced the agreement for the 21-year-old, who can operate as a winger or an attacking midfielder. His arrival came with the approval and at the request of El-Gamal, who is overseeing Al Ittihad Alexandria’s preparations for the new campaign.

Fery joined Pyramids FC in January as a free agent. Since moving to the club, the Zambian has made one appearance, playing 18 minutes in the CAF Champions League group stage against fellow Zambian side Power Dynamos.

His loan switch represents the 22nd signing made by Al Ittihad Alexandria during the current summer transfer window. The club have continued to reshape their squad under El-Gamal, with Fery becoming the latest addition before the start of the league season.

Al Ittihad Alexandria will begin their campaign with a difficult fixture against Zamalek on Friday. The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:00, with the two sides meeting on the opening day of the league.

The Alexandria-based club finished last season in 10th place in the relegation group standings. They ended the campaign four points clear of the relegation positions.

Fery’s ability to play both on the wing and behind the forward line gives El-Gamal another option as Al Ittihad Alexandria prepare for their first competitive test of the season. The recruitment of the Zambian international completes the club’s latest move in a busy summer, with the total number of new signings now reaching 22.

The agreement is for a loan lasting until the end of the season, with Al Ittihad Alexandria confirming that all financial details with Pyramids FC have been settled. Fery will now be part of the squad preparing for the opening meeting with Zamalek, which will take place at 20:00 on Friday.
