Ajax secure loan deal for Guinean teenager Abdoulaye Camara
Ajax have reached an agreement with Udinese for the loan signing of highly rated Guinean midfielder Abdoulaye Camara ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 17-year-old will leave Italy for the Netherlands after making his senior debut for Udinese in Serie A last season, marking another important step in his development.
Ajax confirmed the agreement on Saturday, August 22, with the deal set to run for one season and including an option for the Dutch giants to make the transfer permanent.
The club said Camara’s move remains subject to the completion of formalities.
Once the transfer is officially completed, Camara is expected to feature for Ajax’s U23 side as he adapts to Dutch football and continues his development.
The young midfielder impressed enough during his time with Udinese to attract interest from Ajax, who will now have the opportunity to assess his progress throughout the season.
Should Camara make a strong impression during his loan spell, Ajax could exercise their option to buy and make his stay in Amsterdam permanent.
For Camara, the move represents a significant opportunity to gain regular competitive experience in the Netherlands while continuing his development at one of Europe’s most renowned talent-producing clubs.
