Adi Hutter calls for patience as Jeremiaha Maluze eases back into training
Eintracht Frankfurt coach Adi Hutter has urged patience with Jeremiaha Maluze after the young defender returned to team training following a groin injury and illness.
The 21-year-old centre-back had been sidelined for several weeks, missing Frankfurt’s heavy 6-0 defeat to RB Leipzig. He is now back with the squad, but Hütter would not confirm whether he will be included for Friday’s Bundesliga match against FC Köln.
“Maluze has done very well since the complete pre-season,” Hutter said. “We have to be careful with our boys.”
The coach stressed that the club must manage the workload of its young players carefully, pointing out that several squad members had little Bundesliga experience only a few months ago.
For now, Maluze’s focus is on gradually increasing his training load rather than rushing back into competitive action. Hütter views his development as a longer-term process and believes patience will be important.
A place in the matchday squad against Köln has not been ruled out, but Frankfurt are unwilling to force the defender back too soon. His return still gives Hütter a useful defensive option.
