Adel Amrouche clarifies statements regarding Morocco ahead of clash
January 16, at the Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro, Adel Amrouche, the coach of Tanzania, revisited his previous comments about Morocco, emphasizing respect and fair play as his team prepares for a showdown with the North African football powerhouse.
Amrouche, an Algerian tactician, opened the conference by acknowledging Morocco’s impressive football prowess.
“I spoke out a month ago, saying that it is one of the best selections in the world. She reached the semi-final. I praised the coach’s tactical spirit, the state of mind, the style of play… It’s not a team that wins by luck.
She wins with her abilities. She deserves,” expressed Amrouche, recognizing the accomplishments of the Moroccan team.
However, the coach realistically acknowledged the differences in trajectory and objectives between the two teams, noting that Tanzania is the youngest squad in the tournament.
“We are here to evolve and grow,” he added, setting a measured tone for expectations.
Approaching the upcoming match with confidence, Amrouche emphasized his team’s understanding of the challenges ahead. “We go into this match with confidence.
We know full well what awaits us. Our goal is to show ourselves in our best light against a great team,” stated the coach.
Amrouche also addressed recent comments, particularly those referring to the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF) and its president, Fouzi Lekjaa. “Don’t take what I said the wrong way.
Egypt was like that before, Tunisia too, don’t just remember the negative,” he urged, emphasizing the need for positivity and fairness.
In conclusion, the Algerian technician highlighted the importance of fair play, noting its influence on their previous encounter in Dar es Salaam.
As the Tanzania team gears up for the match, Amrouche’s clarifications underline a commitment to sportsmanship and a desire for a competitive yet respectful competition.
