Abdoulie Jatta: Gambian midfielder joins Genclerbirligi U19

Gambian midfielder Abdoulie Jatta has joined Genclerbirligi U19 from Esohna, completing a move to Turkey at the age of 18.

Jatta’s switch was completed on 4 September 2026, with the midfielder joining Genclerbirligi’s Under-19 side in the U19 Super Lig. He has a contract running until 30 June 2028.

Born on 20 April 2008, Jatta arrives after playing for Esohna in The Gambia. His move takes him into a new football environment and places him in the Turkish youth competition with Genclerbirligi Ankara U19.

The midfielder’s arrival adds a Gambian player to Genclerbirligi’s youth structure, with the club now listed as his current side. Jatta’s primary role is in midfield, and he will remain with the Under-19 squad under the terms of his new contract.

The transfer was recorded at the start of the 2026-27 season, marking Jatta’s move from Gambian football to the Turkish U19 Super Lig. His previous club, Esohna, is listed as his only side before the switch to Genclerbirligi.

Jatta is now contracted to Genclerbirligi U19 until June 2028.
