Abdoul Fatha Tinde Teribe: Burkinabe defender joins AEL Limassol on long-term deal

Burkina Faso centre-back Abdoul Fatha Tinde Teribe has joined AEL Limassol, signing a contract with the Cypriot club until 31 May 2029.

The 19-year-old, born in Bobo-Dioulasso, arrives at AEL as a free player after a brief spell without a club. He had previously been part of the AIK U19 set-up in Sweden, having moved there in August 2025 from Acad. Basga Jo.

Standing at 1.98m and operating primarily as a right-footed central defender, Tinde Teribe adds significant height and physical presence to AEL Limassol’s back line. The long-term nature of his deal underlines the club’s commitment to integrating him into their plans in the Cyprus League over the coming seasons.

Tinde Teribe’s recent pathway has taken him from youth football in Burkina Faso to European academies, first with Acad. Basga Jo and then AIK’s under-19 side, before his contract there ended in January 2026. His move to Limassol marks his first senior club since that departure.

The defender becomes one of the younger members of AEL’s squad and will now look to establish himself in professional football in Cyprus, with his contract tying him to the club for three years.
