Abdelhak Ben Idder: Algeria defender makes Nice Espoir move from Paradou AC

Algeria centre-back Abdelhak Ben Idder has joined Nice Espoir from Paradou AC, completing a move to France on 1 September 2026.

Ben Idder, 19, arrives at Nice Espoir after spending the previous season with Paradou AC. The defender made 22 Ligue 1 appearances for the Algerian club, playing 1,799 minutes during the campaign.

He also featured three times in the Coupe d’Algerie, adding a further 300 minutes to his senior record. Ben Idder’s appearances across domestic competitions represent the main senior experience he brings to his new club.

The move marks the latest step in the defender’s progression through Algerian football. Ben Idder joined Paradou AC from Paradou AC U20 on 1 September 2025, completing a move from the club’s under-20 side into its senior set-up.

His switch to Nice Espoir comes with the player listed as a centre-back, the position in which he has built his career. He remains eligible to represent Algeria, having been born on 10 November 2006 and holding Algerian nationality.

Ben Idder’s market value is listed at €450,000, placing the defender among the younger players moving into a new phase of their careers. No transfer fee or contract expiry date has been announced as part of the move.

Nice Espoir will now provide Ben Idder with his club football in France after his spell with Paradou AC, where he established a record of regular senior appearances in Ligue 1. His arrival follows a season in which he also gained cup experience in Algeria.

The transfer was registered on 1 September 2026, with Ben Idder leaving Paradou AC for Nice Espoir. The 19-year-old Algeria defender has therefore completed his move from Algerian football to his new club in France.
