Man Utd linked with Rennes left-back Mahamadou Nagida

Cameroon defender Mahamadou Nagida, who plays for Rennes, has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

The 21-year-old left-back has featured regularly for Rennes during the 2026-27 season, appearing in all 10 of the club’s Ligue 1 matches and providing two assists. He has also started all four of Rennes’ Europa League games, scoring once.

Nagida joined Rennes’ first team from the club’s B team in July 2024, having arrived in France from Cameroon side Brasseries the previous year. He has since established himself in Rennes’ senior squad, with his current campaign including a role in both domestic and European competition.

The reported interest comes with Nagida under contract at Rennes until 30 June 2029. His market value is listed at €10m, although no transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumour.

Manchester United are being linked with the defender as a potential Premier League arrival from Ligue 1, but the move remains a rumour rather than a confirmed transfer. Nagida’s current agreement means Rennes retain him for more than two further seasons beyond the 2026-27 campaign.
