Abd El-Hayy Ben Sultan, the coach of MAS Fès, has expressed concerns about the physical condition of his players following their 2-0 loss to Royal Armed Forces in the semi-final of the Throne Cup.
In his remarks to the press, Ben Sultan highlighted the physical toll on his team, stating, “The preparation for any match requires tools, resources, and a proper training ground for the coach.
However, we only managed to train on 5 occasions over the past month, making it difficult to keep up with the pace. We were not physically ready, despite the players’ tremendous effort during the match.”
He added, “It’s also important to note that we no longer train at our stadium due to renovations. Instead, we’ve been training at the club’s school, unfortunately experiencing technical issues that have had a negative impact.”
Ben Sultan concluded by acknowledging the team’s efforts under challenging circumstances, noting, “MAS Fès has maintained its position in the top tier and reached the semi-finals. Our ambition was to go further, but unfortunately, we fell short.”
