The opening ceremony of the 2023 Club World Cup, hosted by Morocco, has been crowned as the best ceremony during the HEAVENT AWARDS 2024, held in the French city of Cannes.
HEAVENT AWARDS organization selected the ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, among the best nominees alongside other opening ceremonies for international sporting events before ultimately awarding it as the best.
This global accolade reflects the professionalism and creative prowess of Morocco in organizing the opening ceremony of an international event, showcasing the country’s capability to host major international events across all fields.
Held at the Ibn Battuta Stadium in Tangier, the ceremony captivated viewers worldwide with its distinctive artistic performances, introducing the heritage of the Moroccan Kingdom and highlighting its openness to the world.
The ceremony paid tribute to the Moroccan explorer Ibn Battuta, recognizing his role as a bridge between cultures and peoples, and celebrating his voyages that contributed to Morocco’s openness to the world.
Moroccan traditional groups presented artistic displays reflecting the richness and authenticity of Moroccan heritage.
Additionally, there was a special appearance by the daughter of the late legend Billy, and the national team coach Walid Regragui.
