The final squad announced by the national coach Walid El-Rakraki last week for Morocco’s national team camp in March has brought attention to several players who have either lost their regularity with their clubs in recent matches, remain permanently relegated to the bench, or have only participated in the final minutes of games, at best.
Fifteen players from the final squad maintain a consistent level of readiness and regularity, including the trio of goalkeepers, as well as Abdel Abqar, Shady Riyadh, Achraf Hakimi, Mohamed El-Shaibi, Yahya Attiat Allah, Ibrahim Diaz, Bilal El-Khanous, Ayoub El-Kaabi, Youssef En-Nesyri, Sofiane Rahimi, and to a lesser extent, Achraf Dari and Youssef El-Khadim.
On the other hand, nine players face challenges with their clubs in various leagues concerning playing minutes and regularity.
These include Naif Aguerd, Sofiane Amrabat, Oussama El Azouzi, Amine Adli, and Eliesse Ben Seghir.

Naif Aguerd: Played 82 minutes in the last four matches but remained benched in his team’s latest match against West Ham yesterday.
Sofiane Amrabat: Featured for 24 minutes in the last seven league games and remained benched in the last match with his team Manchester United.
Oussama El Azouzi: Played 104 minutes in the last seven matches but remained on the substitute’s bench in the last three matches with his club Bologna in the Italian league.
Amir Richardson: Played 234 minutes in the last seven matches, averaging 33 minutes per game, and remained benched in the last match with his club Reims.
Hakim Ziyech: Only played 29 minutes in the last two matches with Galatasaray since returning from injury.
